MultiAPPRO PLUS – final greetings

Today, 30/06/2022, the MultiAPPRO PLUS – Multidisciplinary approach and solutions to development of intermodal transport in region Plus – project ends. The project was part of the INTERREG V-B Adriatic-Ionian ADRION Programme 2014-2020 and co-funded by the European Commission. MultiAPPRO PLUS has been considered as the continuation of the programme first call, MultiAPPRO project. MultiAPPRO PLUS aimed at promoting freight transport logistics, strived to make intermodal transportation more competitive, put maritime freight transport on equal footing with other transport modes, as well as continued the creation of frameworks that incentivise investments for the modernization of ports in the Adriatic-Ionian region and reviewed the progress made in the development of sustainable mobility as previously proposed by the European Commission.

Θέση Εργασίας Συγκοινωνιολόγου Μηχανικού

Η εταιρία GATES Ltd αναζητά ένα (1) άτομο ειδικότητας Συγκοινωνιολόγου Μηχανικού, για παροχή έργου στο πλαίσιο της υλοποίησης του συγχρηματοδοτούμενου έργου «CIPORT – Cold ironing in the Port of Piraeus – Taking the Final Step» του προγράμματος «Connecting Europe Facility (CEF)».

Το έργο CIPORT επικεντρώνεται στην μείωση του περιβαλλοντικού αποτυπώματος και την βελτιστοποίηση λειτουργίας του λιμένα Πειραιά μέσω της εκπόνησης σειράς τεχνικών, περιβαλλοντικών και κοινωνικοοικονομικών μελετών για την ηλεκτροδότηση πλοίων δια ξηράς στο τμήμα εξυπηρέτησης κρουαζιέρας. Η εταιρία GATES Ltd,  ως εταίρος της κοινοπραξίας, συμμετέχει στην εκπόνηση συγκεκριμένων δραστηριοτήτων του έργου.

Τα απαιτούμενα προσόντα του Υποψηφίου ορίζονται ως εξής:

• Πτυχίο μηχανικού ΑΕΙ κατεύθυνσης συγκοινωνιολόγου μηχανικού
• Άριστη γνώση αγγλικής γλώσσας
• Γνώσεις χρήσης εργαλείων Η/Υ (επεξεργασίας κειμένων, υπολογιστικών φύλλων, παρουσιάσεων, βάσεων δεδομένων, εφαρμογών διαδικτύου)
• Εργασιακή εμπειρία στην υλοποίηση ερευνητικών προγραμμάτων με κύριο επιστημονικό αντικείμενο
  • Μεταφορικά συστήματα
  • Ανάπτυξη μεθοδολογιών και εφαρμογή συστημάτων συνδυασμένων μεταφορών
  • Θαλάσσιες επιβατικές και εμπορευματικές μεταφορές
  • Εισαγωγή νέων τεχνολογιών και εναλλακτικών καυσίμων στις λιμενικές υποδομές και λειτουργίες

Η διάρκεια σύμβασης έργου είναι από 01/10/2022 εώς 31/10/2023. Σε περίπτωση παράτασης του συγχρηματοδοτούμενου έργου, η σύμβαση δύναται να παραταθεί χωρίς περιορισμό και χωρίς τη διενέργεια νέας Πρόσκλησης, μέχρι την νέα ημερομηνία λήξης του έργου. Η αμοιβή θα καταβάλλεται με Τιμολόγιο Παροχής Υπηρεσιών.

Job Position for a Transport Engineer

GATES Ltd is seeking one (1) person specializing in Transport Engineering, to join the team for the implementation of the co-financed project “CIPORT – Cold ironing in the Port of Piraeus – Taking the Final Step” of the “Connecting Europe Facility (CEF)” program.

The CIPORT project focuses on reducing the environmental footprint and optimizing the operation of the port of Piraeus through the elaboration of a series of technical, environmental and socioeconomic studies for shore-side electricity in the cruise service terminal. GATES Ltd, as a partner of the consortium, is involved in the elaboration of specific activities of the project.

The Applicant’s qualification requirements are as follows:

• Degree in engineering, with specialization in transport engineering
• Excellent knowledge of English
• Knowledge of PC programes (word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, databases, web applications)
• Working experience in the implementation of research programs with a principal scientific object
  • Transport systems
  • Development of methodologies and application of intermodal transport systems
  • Maritime passenger and freight transport
  • Introduction of new technologies and alternative fuels in port infrastructure and operations

The duration of the project contract is from 01/10/2022 to 31/10/2023. In the case of an extension of the co-financed project, the contract may be extended without restrictions until the new end date of the project. The applicant should be able to provide a Service Provider Invoice.

PROTEUS – Posidonia 2022

Full house at the event on Decarbonisation of the Maritime Sector via the Electrification of Ports – Supporting the #PROTEUS Plan at #Posidonia2022 on 09/06/2022!
The implementation of the plan for Holistic Energy Upgrade, transforming ports into energy hubs was showcased for the ports of Piraeus, Igoumenitsa and Rafina. The plan with the support of the Member State has received substantial co-funding by the European Commission via the #CEF mechanism and the Actions #ELEMED, #ALFION, #CIPORT, and #EALING.
